Original Music

I have written and performed in several different idioms - and with several different idiots ... pop, rock, jazz, country, electronica and folk. Much of my writing has been done in collaboration with Dave Styles in the guise of Ziggurat or Lanzend. In the 1980s I wrote a folky tune called "Beggars Bush" , specifically for the Dawlish New Year Ceremony of taking a giant around town at midnight. It has been an amusement of mine to hear it played in folk sessions and remained anonymous while the players assured it was traditional - which I suppose it might have become.
